Your emotions and your skin

        YOUR EMOTIONS AND YOUR SKIN
There is a close association of the skin to the nervous system which in turn makes your skin "emotional". Minor skin diseases sometimes clear up surprisingly quickly when the patient escapes from an unhappy condition in their life. If you are nervous or anxious your skin can express this type of tension by an outbreak of hives or acne. Emotional stress or anxiety can cause psoriasis, eczema, alopecia aerate (hair loss) and acne rosacea to flare up in those with these chronic conditions. Skin problems are quite often your skin crying out for attention, emotional and physical. Many infants who have not been given love and caring often develop eczema. (This is not the only cause however, and should not be read as such).
Ingfried Hobert M.D., chairman of the "International Federation to Research and Develop Traditional Healing Methods" comments:
"Is the threat and almost incredible increase of allergies only due to the increasing pollution of our environment, or are there other factors of influence? Which influence has the "contamination" of human thought patterns and behaviors? Our skin is the contact- or barrier-organ, respectively, to our environment. A disturbed environment and disharmony between us and our environment clash from both sides onto this organ, which makes it particularly susceptible to dysfunction.
Inner disharmony becomes visible on the skin. Something "itches" us. Does the scratching symbolise the digging up of something uncertain, in order to uncover it and set it free?
While reddish skin indicates excitement, sweaty skin indicates insecurity and fear.
Sensitive people are often referred to as thin-skinned, while resilient people are rather thick-skinned.
The irritability and over-sensitivity of an allergic reaction hints at blocked energy in the according region. Possibly, an allergy is the breaking out of blocked energy in an area where something is being resisted. An abscess or boil suggests anger turned inward trying to break out, because it's the only way to get attention. Mental conflicts push beyond the body limits into visibility.
Rash - Feelings of being threatened. In order to protect oneself, one is "breaking out".
Acne - Inner conflict with one's own personality; out of fear, guilt or insecurity, thoughts and emotions are being suppressed and are "breaking free".
